Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards, announced on Twitter that today at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT the new edition of Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition will commence. The event will last 5 days and during it we will see over 40 new games.

Valve and Geoff Keighley arrive to rescue the players. The creator of The Game Awards boasted on Twitter that the Steam Game Festival will return today – this time in the spring edition. The virtual event will start around 18:00 and will last until March 23. Stream can be found at this address : https://store.steampowered.com/ however, it will not be active until the event starts. Thus, the official news ends speculation about a possible date of the event, which you could read about two days ago.

The spring edition is to abound with announcements and presentations – more than 40 new titles will be shown, which were originally to come to events like Indie Megabooth, Day of the Devs or Game Developers Conference (GDC), postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Of course, there will also be a possibility to test selected productions for free. The first edition of the Steam Game Festival took place in December as an event accompanying The Game Awards 2019 gala. Then players saw 14 new games. As you can see, the creators are not going to stop and the event starting today will provide even more news. Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition has a chance to become a real salvation for players who every year awaited the next editions of well-known industry events. Of course, it is difficult to compare the event with such an E3 or gamescom, but in times of “drought” the opportunity to watch a game event and so positively tunes. Even more pleased is the information that the Steam Game Festival will return with further editions later this year. This message was posted by Geoff Keighley on Twitter.
